Premier High School of Lubbock students win awards at the Panhandle South Plains Fair

The art students of Premier High School Lubbock attended the Panhandle South Plains Fair and demonstrated projects in the Creative Arts Division completion. The fair was held from Sept. 24 through Oct. 3, 2010 in Lubbock.
Premier High School had 12 students participate with the following students winning these awards: 1st division – Marissa Lovato, 2nd division – Damian Enriquez, 3rd division – Elizabeth Moncrief, and Honorable Mention – John Varela. Other students participating were: Paige Ford, Mariah Herrera, Eulogio Herrera, James Vasquez, Phillip Clark, Kyle Garrett, and Kelsey Waller.
“We are extremely proud of the work these students were able to accomplish so soon after the school year started,” said John B. Booth, principal at Premier High School of Lubbock.
Carolyn Bennett, their teacher was commended for getting her students ready and entered into the fair, Booth said.
“It is a true example of going beyond expectations,” he said.
